New Seemapuri- another resettlement colony

In order to have a comparative perspective, how the situation of water supply is in settlement colonies, i visited another slum on the other part of Delhi- on the very east of it.

This settlement was created in 1976, so people have been living there already for some time, with comparison to Savda where the settlement took place 4 years ago.

Still, the water situation is not that much better, it is just more crowded and much dirtier. Two employees of the local NGO showed me around and interviewed some residents in order to get a grasp of the situation.

I was one of the biggest attraction that day for people. Whenever i was taking pictures of borewells and handpumps, they were trying to be in the picture as well. Whenever we stood for a while to talk to some people, there would be a crowd of any possible age range :)

Don't cling to a single scenario, allow yourself many paths to the same destination. Give it a lifetime to pay off. Things you work hardest for are the things you will most treasure."
